Mexican singer Featherweight Entered Forbes magazine’s “30 under 30” list, which recognizes the talent and efforts of young people under 30 in various fields such as music, social networks or technology.

Forbes described the artist, whose real name is Hassan Emilio Gabande Laija, as “one of Mexico’s biggest stars” because he brought “a modern touch” to regional Mexican music by fusing various musical styles such as corritos, reggaeton and cumbia. .

Born in Guadalajara in 1999, Peso Pluma rose to fame in 2023, in part, thanks to the Corrido Tumbato “Ella Paila Sola” he recorded with the regional Mexican group Esclabon Armado, and since then he has not stopped achieving success: he recently sold out his first Foro Sol in Mexico City. , and also took part in a music session with renowned Argentinian producer Bizarrab.

In this category, the work of Puerto Rican Lucas Barbosa, head of the independent record label Rimas Entertainment, and other artists such as Gracie Abrams, Ethel Cain or the Boygenius band have also been recognized.

Forbes magazine has included 600 influential people from 20 different industries in its 2024 list:

“This is one of the most diverse and ambitious lists to date, especially in terms of the scope of his work and the impact of his leadership,” said Christine Stoler, senior editor of Forbes Under 30.

According to Forbes, the youth recognized in this edition have raised 3.6 billion dollars for charity, and celebrities, artists and creators have more than 780 million followers on social networks.

The cover accompanying the list features reggaeton singer Bad Bunny, who was part of the 2019 edition of “30 Under 30” and praised the magazine that “anything he creates is a hit.” In this count, Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio (Bad Bunny) was named the “King of Pop”.
