The largest oil company has begun production on a giant tight gas project

The largest oil company in the world, Saudi Aramco, The company announced that it produced the first cubic meter of gas in its giant unconventional gas project in South GhawarTwo months ahead of schedule. Al Nuaimi added: “The ability to start production two months ahead of schedule and under budget is a testament to the unwavering dedication of our employees and their determination to continuously improve our exploration and production operations.”

It represents the successful production of tight gas in South Ghawar Aramco’s second unconventional gas stream, after the start of production in the North Arabian Peninsula field in 20118 By delivering 6.7 million cubic meters per day to customers in Waad Al Shamal. Meanwhile, work is progressing on the giant Jafurah unconventional gas field, the largest liquid-rich shale gas field in the Middle East.
