Scientists alert to arrival of comet ‘Diablo’, space rock three times bigger than Everest – FireWire

Astronomers, astrophysicists and scientists Astronauts in general are on the alert for the arrival of Comet ‘Diablo’. It is a space rock three times the length of Mount Everest.

The particular comet is given the scientific name 12P/Pons–Brooks. It was discovered in 1812 by the French astronomers Jean-Louis Pons, Alexis Bouvard and Vincent Wisniewsky, so their path is followed later. It has an elliptical orbit around the Sun, taking over 71 years to orbit the massive star.
