Rio de Janeiro (EFE).- Neymar, who has just joined Saudi club Al Hilal, said he and Lionel Messi lived in “hell” at PSG.

During an interview with Brazilian show Esporte Spectacular published this Sunday, the striker made the statement after being asked how he felt about Messi and Argentina’s success at the World Cup in Qatar.

“I felt very happy in the year he had, but at the same time very sad, because he lived on both sides of the coin: he went to heaven with the Argentine team, in recent years he won everything, he lived in hell with Paris. . He and I live in hell,” said the Brazilian star.

“We were bored because we weren’t there. We were there to give our best, to be champions, to make history, that’s why we played together again. We came there to make history. Unfortunately, we didn’t,” he added.

Neymar, who paid the Parisian club record €222m six years ago, has claimed his friend Messi has left PSG.

“Anyone who knows him knows he’s a coachable guy, a fighter who gets angry when he loses, and in my view they accused him unfairly,” he insisted.

Neymar is optimistic about the current and future of the Brazil team

In the interview, the 31-year-old Brazilian also highlighted the professionalism of his teammates Vinicius Jr. and Rodrigo.

He confirmed that they are “high-quality players” who can take on the role he currently holds.

“Regardless of whether I am or not, I think they already are because they already have that name,” he added.

Neymar also mentioned that Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti is the future coach of the Brazil team.

He assumed he would be well received in Brazil “because he is a legendary coach who has won everything in his career.”
