(CNN) — NASA and SpaceX mission managers prepare to launch the joint Crew-7 mission to the International Space Station. The space agency tweeted Following Thursday morning’s Commencement Readiness Review.
The mission, which will take off from Kennedy Space Center at 3:50 a.m. Friday, is part of NASA’s Commercial Crew program, which pays private companies to fly astronauts to the station.
“Operations teams have not identified any significant issues with the Falcon 9 or Dragon spacecraft. NASA and SpaceX worked on final launch preparations on Wednesday, and the rest of the work is expected to be completed before launch,” NASA said in a blog post.

The task force includes NASA astronaut Jasmine Mokbeli, European Space Agency astronaut Andreas Mogensen, Japan Space Agency astronaut Satoshi Furukawa and Roscosmos cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov.
If the launch goes as planned, SpaceX’s Dragon capsule, called Endurance, will arrive with the space station about 23 hours later and remain there for a six-month mission.
If the launch is delayed, NASA and SpaceX may try again on Saturday, August 26 at 3:27 a.m. or Sunday, August 27 at 3:04 a.m.
