LOS ANGELES (AP) — Austin Barnes hit a solo homer in the eighth inning and it was enough for the Los Angeles Dodgers to win their 11th straight, beating the Milwaukee Brewers 1-0 on Thursday night.
The NL West-leading Dodgers swept all three games with a combined 14-3 win over Central-leading Milwaukee.
It was the 12th shutout for Los Angeles this season.
Lance Lynn battled against 2021 Cy Young Award winner Corbin Barnes, who retired 10 straight batters, including six while striking out six. Both left undecided.
Caleb Ferguson (7-3) earned the win with one inning of relief. Evan Phillips pitched the ninth for his 18th save.
Barnes hit his first home run since September 20, 2022. He found a pitch from Joel Byamps (4-3) and put the ball into the lower right seats.
For the Brewers, Venezuela’s William Contreras is 4-0, Andrew Monasterio is 3-0. Dominicans Carlos Santana 4-0, Willie Adams 4-0. Puerto Rican Victor Caratini is 3-0.
For the Dodgers, Venezuelan David Peralta is 4-0. Puerto Rican Kike Hernandez 3-0.
