Share it The application implements artificial intelligence in a very specific way: the idea expressed in the developing or beta version of the application for devices with the Android operating system is to automatically create stickers using text using artificial intelligence.

Why are all cats so similar to each other and dogs are not?

In other words, this function allows WhatsApp to provide a brief text description AI Create a sticker as requested. For example, in a demonstration published on the website WaBetaInfo, asked the computer to create a sticker that said, “Laughing cat on a skateboard.” The result can be found below.

WhatsApp beta. The new feature lets you create stickers using AI.

According to information in the beta, the stickers are generated using secure (AI) technology provided by Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp and Facebook, and their appearance is “identified” so they can be identified. WhatsApp is built with AI, at least in theory. Otherwise, it looks very similar to other popular AI applications that create custom images through text commands, such as Midjourney, but of course, at the same time this function raises some important questions: What kind of images can be created? ? (for explicit or offensive content) How will they be limited and controlled? among others. Currently, offensive stickers and images in the app can be reported.

For now, the sticker maker using artificial intelligence is only available to some users who have access to the WhatsApp beta on Android. It’s not clear when it will reach other users of the messaging platform around the world.
