The Mexican Embassy in Havana announced today, Wednesday, June 21, 5,145 appointments for visas and legalization of documents.

Through a statement published on the official website of the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was learned that these requests will be addressed in the third quarter of 2023.

Appointments will be allocated in order of user registration, favoring family reunification, work and study visas, the text says.

The report warns that the Citas Cuba system that accesses the request “will automatically assign appointments to previously registered users, chronologically and until their availability is exhausted.”

Additionally, they also clarify that those who already have a user on the Citas Cuba system do not need to create a new account.

The Mexican government reiterated that “nominations are free, private and irrevocable,” and added that “any suspected abuse of the system will result in the cancellation of any nomination and the banning of the relevant user.”

The process of requesting appointments at the Mexican Embassy in the island is a widely discussed topic due to the difficulty of the process, which is mainly mediated by the corruption created on the platform, as many users have denounced on various occasions.

That is why the country’s government has urged applicants to avoid sharing their personal data with third parties who plan on their behalf, as such appointments may be canceled without prior notice. “Don’t risk your personal information and your money,” they said.

In the case of persons who are not registered users of the Citas Cuba system, they must access: https://citascuba.sre.gob.mx/ and are informed that they must enter their biographical data and a necessary creation process. user. Once registered, they have to wait for an appointment to be set up.
