The goal of the BREATH Guaranteed Income Program in Los Angeles County is to provide greater financial security to its residents. Therefore, last Thursday the participants of the aforementioned program received a payment that reached the figure of $1000.00 USD.

Breathe pays about 1,000 participants every month. However, it is valid to clarify that the beneficiaries receive these monthly payments for three years.

For its part, the Los Angeles County Strength-Based Community Change Institute told the Washington Examiner last Thursday. That is, the recipients received their money on the 15th of this month.

What do you know about this project?

If Los Angeles residents have more financial security, they can better position themselves in economic and social life. As such, it is precisely the prototype of the program initiated by Los Angeles County.

Hence, from the pool of eligible applicants, 1,000 beneficiaries were randomly selected. On the other hand, March 31 has been selected as the date for opening applications for the scheme. Meanwhile, on April 13, 2022, claims are said to be closed.

Payments which started in June 2022 will end in August 2025.

Their advantage is that their beneficiaries do not need to have a bank account to receive these monthly payments. That is, money is dispensed through debit cards.

Further, 200 more beneficiaries will be included through the expansion of the scheme. Therefore, they will be foster children and, if selected, will receive monthly allowances of $1,000.00 USD for two years. Meanwhile, the application window for this expansion will open on June 20 and close on July 3.
