Fierce fighting continues around Bagmut in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, as Russian forces continue their offensive towards the key eastern city, the Ukrainian military said on Tuesday.

Luhansk region
The situation in Luhansk region remains “difficult,” the Luhansk regional military administration said on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, Ukrainian forces repelled Russian offensives in the Novoselivsk and Bilohoryvka regions, regional officials said.
In the city of Luhansk, the Ukrainian military said Russian forces were using the maternity wards of two hospitals to treat wounded soldiers.
“The enemy continues to suffer heavy losses and has started using additional civilian medical facilities to accommodate wounded Russian invaders,” the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff said.
“Because the enemy is using two maternity hospitals to care for wounded Russians in the city, deliveries can only be made at the Luhansk Regional Perinatal Center, which creates severe lack of space and risks and unfavorable conditions for childbirth,” he said.
Kharkiv region
A 62-year-old civilian was killed in the city of Vovsansk as a result of shelling, the military administration of the Kharkiv region said on Tuesday. An 83-year-old woman was the only one injured. According to regional authorities, his condition is stable.
A police building, apartment buildings and warehouses were damaged in the shelling.
In Kubyansk, the regional building of Ukrainian Railways and private houses were damaged, according to regional authorities.
