The fighting in Buckmutt is hell

Fighting continues in southern and eastern Ukraine, while officials on Monday reported heavy casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure.

Donetsk region

The Donetsk region continues to be the scene of some of the fiercest fighting. On Monday, the Ukrainian military said Russian forces were attempting to advance towards Lyman, Pakmut and Avdiivka.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk region’s military administration, said at least one person was killed in the town of Krasnohorivka.

Kherson region

The regional military administration said on Monday that Russian forces had fired 42 times in the past 24 hours. “Enemy artillery, MLRS, mortars, tanks and infantry fighting vehicles attacked civilian settlements in the region,” it said.

Russian shelling in the city of Kherson this Sunday killed at least three people and injured eight civilians with varying degrees of severity, the regional military administration said.

Kharkiv region

This Sunday, at least one person was killed and three others were wounded in Kharkiv city, said Ole Sinihubov, head of the military administration of the Kharkiv region.

Initial investigations suggest that the missile was fired from an S-300 air defense system.

“The missile hit a four-story residential building in the Kyiv district,” Sinihubov said. “The upper floors and roof of the building were gutted, and there was a massive fire.”

Kupiansk, Vovchansk, Strilecha, Dvorichna and other towns came under enemy fire, Syniehubov added, and private houses, shops and other buildings were damaged.

In Kubiansk, it said a 41-year-old man was wounded by enemy shelling.

Zaporizhia region

The military administration of Zaporozhye region said on Monday that the situation is relatively stable as Russian forces focus on holding occupied territories in the region.

Russian shelling damaged residential houses and buildings in various parts of the region, regional police said.
