Even the formalities of the Mexico fans did not save them from losing to Argentina

Mexico’s game against Argentina raised the interest of fans of both teams, because it is very important to qualify for the round of 16, so some Mexicans performed some rituals that, as you can see, did not work.

For example, @capiperez shared a video where he can be seen walking with a group of people, most of whom are wearing Mexican national team jerseys, who begin to sing: “A beautiful morning from heaven, a beautiful morning from heaven. Guadalupana, Guadalupana, I’m going to Tebayac.

Miguel Herrera also danced on TV to help Mexico win against the Albiceleste.

A recording of a woman standing in front of a screen is circulating on the networks, and as they show the players singing the national anthem, she walks past them. The post is old, but it’s re-posted to send good wishes to Tri on this occasion.

There were also rituals on the Argentine side, for example, Twitter user @deliriosdereina called for healers to help Lionel Messi: “I’m starting a network of wiccas, mies, witches and healers, please: set the alarm to heal the evil of the clock 15.55. Out to Lionel Andres Messi, 35. Text this to your trusted witch. Start sending and tweeting.”

The Argentina star scored against El Tri in the 63rd minute, then Enzo Fernandez scored the second in the 86th minute to eliminate Mexico.

Mexico now sit last in Group C with just one point, but still have a chance to qualify for the round of 16 in a match against Saudi Arabia.
