On Friday morning, a new edition of the “Let’s get up in the public space” march was developed, an activity organized by the municipality’s Social Development Secretariat in conjunction with the regional schedules programmes, the local Public Health Secretariat and several social organizations. Educational institutions from La Matanza participated in the mobilization from Plaza Calle 200 to Plaza Calle 1,000, in the city of Ciudad Evita.

The initiative, which has been implemented for four years, aims to strengthen community bonds as well as interaction between children and the environment, in order to get to know them, enjoy them and take care of them and to promote recognition and the need for community spaces. On this occasion, spaces for healthcare were erected with vaccination, counseling and ANSeS procedures, a “mural”, children’s games and an artistic finale.

said Daniela Sposato, General Secretary of SUTEBA La Matanza and one of the founders of the initiative, in an interview with el1 is numeric.

“When we started walking, the square from which we left was not what it is today. This is an achievement, because it relates to seeing activity and green spaces on Central Avenue. He explained that it is a joint effort of educational institutions, social organizations, and the accompaniment of the regional council, adding that the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment works with the intention of afforestation and planting citizens in the neighborhoods.

For his part, Rolando Torres, member of the Regional Council and the Ramón Carrillo Group, noted that the local institutions, the Second Regional Health District and the Envión Podés Program collaborators also participated in the rally. “The idea is to live in the community, benefit from the green spaces in the city, and restore those found with waste,” he said.
