Sultan Al Neyadi will take Emirati dreams into space

The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center (MBRSC) announced on Monday that Sultan Al Najdi Selected to participate in First long-duration mission to the International Space Station (ISS), as part of the NASA Space-X program. And the Crew-6 mission that will be launched in Spring 2023.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that Al Neyadi “A A role model for Emirati youth Which we are proud of and we will be The ambassador of all Arabs in the space raceNoting that the state lays the foundation for this vital sector by providing it with qualified national cadres, launching more scientific projects related to space exploration, and supporting related industries.

Al Neyadi was chosen from among several Emirati astronauts to be the first Arab astronaut to participate in a long-term space mission to the International Space Station. sSpend six months aboard the International Space StationDuring which he will conduct many deep and advanced scientific experiments within the UAE Astronaut Program, which aims to train and prepare a team of Emirati astronauts and send them into space to carry out various scientific missions. Al Neyadi’s mission came in the wake of the signing of a strategic partnership agreement last April between the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center and the American company Axiom Space, which specializes in spaceflight and space infrastructure development.

The UAE Astronaut Program, launched by the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center, aims to: Establishing the infrastructure for the UAE space sector. It also aims to develop the capabilities of Emirati astronauts and enable them to operate the International Space Station. Choosing Al Neyadi is part of a new mission he has prepared extensively for in NASA Johnson Space Center.
