The seventh edition of the U-23 National Championship has finally defined each director’s teams; At the launch party for these fights, 11 out of 16 total.

Pinar del Río, Donald Duarte, Artemisa with Eduardo Leal, La Isla de la Juventud with Rusbel Hernández, and Havana, Antonio Acea stand out on the list.
Cienfuegos will be coached by Yosvani Lazo, Villa Clara Julio Cesar Alvarez, Sancti Spiritus Hector Hulka, Santiago de Ávila 2004 Athens Olympic champion Dani Miranda, and C Marino Luis complete the central zone on the bench.
Oriente will have two starters in Granma with Víctor Pérez and Eddy Cajigal from Santiago de Cuba.
Who already has experience? Arly Vasquez is in his third year with Matanzas, Osmani Urrutia is in his second season with Los Dunas, and Leisel Osorio is heading into his second stint with Guantanamo.
Shrouded in various controversies, Cuba’s national under-23 championship will finally begin on August 2nd and run until September 4th.
According to the official page of the Weekly Zit event: “The competition will be organized into two zones (West and East) and four groups (A, B, C. D) with an all versus all at the last level. The event’s sub-series will consist of three and two games and will be played on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
“For the semi-finals, the leaders of each key will qualify, and the crosses will take place 1A vs. 1B and 1C vs. 1D. The winners will reach the region title.
“Both the semi-finals and final will be played over five best-of-five games, with the team with the lowest win-loss average starting at home. After the first two clashes, they will move to the other caste’s premises, where a maximum of three matches will be played.
“Group A is made up of Pinar del Río, Artemisa, Isla de la Juventud and Havana. Group B is made up of Mayabeque, Matanzas, Cienfuegos and Villa Clara. In C appear Sancti Spíritus, Ciego de Ávila, Camagüey and Las Tunas. In D They appear in Granma, Holguin, Santiago de Cuba and Guantanamo.
