Music without a difference with Fundación Nacional Batuta, a space full of inclusion

The National Battuta Foundation will be presented next July 24 at the Giulio Mario Santo Domingo Theater with a representative troupe of the Voices of Hope program, designed for people with disabilities in Bogotá and made up of 34 children, adolescents and young people aged 6-25, who, through experience, learning and practice Collective musicians, develop their musical and social skills in the exercise of their cultural rights.

On the other hand, the component of music training for people with disabilities recognizes its participants as beings capable of expressing, enjoying and learning music, thus contributing to its holistic development. The Music Without Bands concert is a theatrical performance that brings together the social and artistic outcomes of the disability component, which offers an integrated experience with diversity and inclusion.

On July 19, at the Jorge Eliezer Gaetán Theater, a concert will be held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Buena Vista Community Club, which will feature the new voice of Cuba Ibrahim Ferrer Jr., son of Cuban superstar Ibrahim Ferrer, singer and songwriter. And the former leader of the Buena Vista Social Club, Ibrahim Jr., couldn’t help but share the same passion for music.

Camerata Bariloche, where Argentine art is displayed

On July 24th at the Giulio Mario Santo Domingo Theater will be this musical show where the Camerata Bariloche, which has become one of the most famous chamber orchestras in Latin America, will be shown. The band gives a passionate concert with the works of Argentine and European composers of different eras: Schubert and Tchaikovsky.

Traditional music and flamenco on Calle Colón

From July 11 at Teatro Colon until September 28, this show will be on stage in reference to the special works of the season. At the premiere of “Ariadna en Naxos,” the first big production of the year, things couldn’t have been different. A traditional flamenco show will be presented at each function.

Las Guarachiras, The Artistic Life of Empowered Women

Born in Cali in 2017, this women’s salsa will be presented starting July 15th at the Colsubsidio Theatre. Throughout her career, she has explored harmonizing instruments with vibraphones and has sought to learn from the great legacy of groups of this type but with an updated vision of the sound of salsa.
