Winter without Scroot: Artist wins lawsuit against Disney for iconic character | Cinema and series

Silperstein’s initial trademark was in trouble in March 2001, when he tried to retrieve it, but had to restart the process. He eventually sued Fox and Blue Sky Studios for copyright infringement. On July 1, 2003, a judge ruled that Silperstein and company were co-owners of Scrot. At that point, he launched a campaign to reclaim his character.

In October 2019, Fox-Disney Corporation asked Ivy Silperstein if they would like to reach an agreement, which was reached in December of that year. After a long process, she shared how to name the documents Schrott’s only author since the winter. Disney Plus plans to give the famous squirrel a spin off, at the same interval.
