(Reuters) – Tesla CEO Elon Musk is “considering” resigning his job and becoming an influencer, the world’s richest man wrote on Twitter Thursday.
Musk said in The tweet, without going into further details.
It was not immediately clear whether Musk, a prolific user of the social media platform, was serious about giving up his duties.

Musk, who is also the founder and CEO of rocket company SpaceX, and leads infrastructure and infrastructure startup Neuralink, said during a January conference call that he hopes to be Tesla’s CEO for “several years.”
“It would be nice to have more free time on my hands instead of working day and night, from the moment I wake up until I go to bed 7 days a week. It’s very intense.”
Last month, he asked his Twitter followers if he should sell his 10% stake in the electric car maker, which most of them agreed with. Since then, he has sold stock worth nearly $12 billion.
