The player will not be available for Ecuador’s appointment in January and February.

Jeremy Sarmindo understood that surgery was the “best way” to recover from an injury to his left leg if he wanted to return strong and uncomplicated in the future. Ecuador International consulted with his club’s physiotherapists Brighton & Howe Albion and two teammates with similar injuries.

At the start of his first Premier League, against West Ham in London on 1 December, Charmiento left the court after being hit in the leg in the 13th minute.

The footballer’s father, Holger Sarmiendo, revealed that the diagnosis was an injury to a hamstring muscle, for which Jeremy had to undergo surgery, as revealed by Brighton’s No. 60. The recovery period can last from three to four months.

Jeremy spoke up Soccer Channel A few hours before entering the operating room, he explained that he had followed the recommendations of physiotherapists and his colleagues in Brighton.

“Unfortunately I was injured against West Ham. It’s something strange. I do not know what it is, but in one play I imagine I’m going to recover the ball. I stopped. All my weight was on my left side. Said the attacker.

“I kept trying to play, but the pain continued. So I decided to stop and see the results from there. Of course this is not a good thing, but I am focused on recovery and coming back stronger than before,” he added.

Due to a recovery period of between three and four months, the Ecuadorian team will not be available for play in Qatar’s World Cup qualifiers between January 27 and February 1, 15 and 16. 2022.

“I talked to physios and colleagues and it was the best way to have surgery. I had two colleagues face the same problem and they told me this was the best way they could do it. I knew it was the only way for me,” Spanish-Ecuador said. (D)
