Kansas City, Missouri, USA – Salvador Perez combined Johnny Bench’s record for most home runs by a catcher in a season to 45, which did not prevent the Auckland Athletics from losing on Thursday the 7th. -2 to Kansas City Royals.

Chad Binder hit a two-run single to trigger the attack in the third inning for an athletic victory.

Perez scored two runs in the first inning, playing at least 75% of his games as a catcher with the record set by the bench in 1970.

Venezuela’s 45 homers and his 112 RBIs make up key figures for the major leagues this season.

“We’re seeing a special season,” manager Mike Madheni said. And he is a special player. It is very rare to be mentioned as one of the best in the same conversation. “

Perez’s talent was not noticed against his rivals.

“It looks like Salvador can hit a daily home run against everyone,” said Auckland manager Bob Melvin. “You can’t rule against him right now.”

Binder won by two outs during a four-touch down offense in the third inning. Auckland then put seven runners in the bat with a pair of wins.

The athlete also scored three runs in the ninth inning, only one win. Auckland started the three-and-a-half day game in a match for two wild-card places for the American League playoffs after Toronto, Boston and the New York Yankees.

Paul Blackburn (1-2) worked over five innings for Auckland. He had two runs and six wins.

Daniel Lynch (4-5) lost. He came out with a left calf problem in the third inning. He allowed three runs (one earned) and two wins in two innings, during which time he walked and hit two wins.
