Widespread flooding was reported Tuesday following an overnight deluge. One local rain gauge calculated about 8 inches in a 20-hour period of time. At least one home (pictured right) at the south end of Division St. had more than a foot of water inside, forcing the family to evacuate late Monday. Also evacuated were campers at Feyodi Park as the upper entrance was closed. While tornadoes threatened Cleveland and the surrounding area throughout the evening and overnight hours,  strong winds proved to be far less of a reality than thunder storms and high waters. A number of rural roads were reported  flooded or in poor condition due to the rains.  In comparison, Cleveland fared better than its neighbors. In Pawnee and Hominy a number of roads were under water with some residents being rescued by boats. With the watershed still overflowing, high waters are not expected to rescind too soon.
