The Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) has honoured five mortgage lending institutions for their contribution to expanding homeownership across the state, presenting its 2025 Leading Light Lending Partner awards during a Board of Trustees meeting held on 19 November in Oklahoma City. The annual awards spotlight the lenders that generated the highest volume of homebuyer activity through OHFA’s down payment and closing cost assistance programmes during the most recent fiscal year.
More Than 2,400 Buyers Supported in 2025 Fiscal Year
The 2025 fiscal year, which concluded on 30 September, marked a significant period for the agency. According to OHFA, a total of 2,403 buyers purchased homes using its assistance products, reflecting persistent demand for support in entering the property market amid rising costs and tightening lending conditions. The figures further underscore the importance of state-backed financial assistance in helping first-time and lower-income buyers secure homeownership.
Associated Mortgage Corporation Leads the Rankings
At the top of this year’s list was Associated Mortgage Corporation (AMC), which assisted 321 homebuyers through OHFA programmes. Its strong performance placed it ahead of all other participating lenders and highlighted its sustained focus on supporting homeownership efforts across Oklahoma.
First United Bank & Trust Takes Second Place
First United Bank & Trust recorded 249 homebuyers, earning second place among Leading Light Lending Partners. The institution continues to strengthen its presence in the residential lending market, particularly in areas facing heightened affordability pressures.
The Mortgage Link and Cornerstone Capital Bank Maintain Solid Results
In third place, The Mortgage Link assisted 226 homebuyers, maintaining its reputation for consistent engagement in programmes that lower upfront costs for borrowers.
Cornerstone Capital Bank, supporting 161 homebuyers, ranked fourth and continued its emphasis on serving a diverse mix of borrowers who may require financial assistance to complete a purchase.
Great Plains National Bank Rounds Out the Top Five
Completing the list, Great Plains National Bank of Oklahoma City supported 150 homeowners, demonstrating steady involvement in OHFA-backed assistance initiatives. The bank’s engagement reflects its commitment to local communities and sustainable homeownership growth.

The Leading Light awards not only recognise lender performance but also draw attention to the significance of collaborative efforts between public agencies and financial institutions.
