The Cleveland  High School  cheerleaders attended NCA Leadership Camp at OU in Norman last week and brought home an assortment of awards.

 The recognitions including a Stunt S.A.F.E. award, a bid to Nationals, and a Spirit Stick from each day of camp.

 In addition to this, they received Runner-Up for the Rally Routine Competition and also won the Game Day Competition Championship. The cheerleaders were also awarded the NCA Spirit Award, which is voted on by the other squads attending camp, is based on the spirit shown by the team, and the heart they put into cheerleading and leadership.

 Not only did they earn multiple awards as a team, but also had team members win individual awards. CHS Cheer had five Star Jumper finalists and a Star Jumper winner, four Star Tumbler finalists and two Star Tumbler winners, and four All-American Cheerleaders.

 The two seniors, who are also second year captains, Jana Sheets and Alexi Hastings, were chosen to receive NCA staff applications.  

 The CHS Cheerleaders are coached by former CHS cheerleader and alumna, Holly McCormick-Woodrell, and Connie Moore.
