City of Cleveland crews began demolition work on Cleveland’s “historic” old swimming pool and its pool house this week, located in the eastside Hanson Park.  Excavation work on the new municipal swim complex near westside’s Billy Vessels Park is expected to start in the coming weeks. City officials explained that dirt from the new pool location will be brought to fill up the old swimming hole. Future plans at Hanson Park call for landscaping, but no particular plans have been announced.
